Two of our long-standing members, Jim Hopkins and Rod Bayley, are aiming to complete yet another Melbourne Marathon. Currently Jim after 37 completed events stands in equal 13th position on the list of number of events completed and Rod has completed 21.  (Refer to recent article in the Herald-Sun  featuring Jim and another well-known Spartan).   One of our former members, Shirley Young, completed the first 30 events, whilst three other members, Ron Young, Wes Windsor and Paul Ban, are Spartans.
